We made the news! Our CBS 58 news story
Earlier this week we shared on Facebook and Instagram that our adoption story was going to be highlighted on CBS 58. Our story aired on the evening of January 29, 2019. We wanted to share the news article and video with you in case you missed it.
How did this come together?
About a month ago, we were contacted by a CBS 58 news reporter, Tori Bokios, about our adoption story and our fundraising efforts on GoFundMe (https://www.gofundme.com/thelambrechtsadopt). We agreed to an interview and Tori sat down with us in our home in mid-January. She was so nice!! We chatted about our adoption journey so far and how important crowdfunding is for many adoptive families. Many people are often shocked to hear how long the process is and how much the whole process can cost. It can be quite challenging for families despite wanting so desperately to parent a child in need. We thank Tori for sharing our story. It’s the story of so many other families. We’re so happy that the adoption community can get the attention that it deserves.
Thank you for the continued support!
Last week, between our GoFundMe account and other generous donations we’ve cleared the $5,000 mark and are steadily moving towards the $10,000 milestone.
We are so thankful for all of the people who have generously given to our adoption fund. Every donation brings us to our knees in tear-filled prayer and thanksgiving. It’s so amazing to see God’s people come together. We are so blessed by all of you.
We cannot stress enough that every little bit counts. Every dollar will be used to bring home our child. Please continue to share our story to others. Help us bring home our baby!
